New customer support service
DATE ISSUED : 27.06.2007
The first is a pilot scheme, the Bosch Irons Helpline. Customers with a question or problem concerning the Sensixx Comfort iron (the TDA8313GB) can dial a special help line number contained in the box. If the pilot service is a success it will be extended to all irons in Bosch's extensive range.
"We are very proud of our irons and of our customer service generally, but this will be a dedicated number specifically for irons questions, staffed by experts," explained product category manager Florian Pfister. "Once we have satisfied ourselves that the service does what we intend it to do, it will be extended to the full range." Bosch's second new customer service initiative is a unique home repair service promise on its award-winning vacuum cleaner models.
As well as the standard two-year parts and labour guarantee, the company will send someone to a customer's home to handle repairs. "There's nothing worse than having to parcel up something as bulky as a vacuum cleaner - even one as compact as ours - to take back for repairs. So the easiest thing is if we come to you," explained product category manager Jane Lee.
"We have the utmost confidence in the performance and reliability of our cleaners because we make them at our own factories in Germany. We can guarantee their quality of manufacture and this is a great way of proving it. "This gives customers extra peace of mind and saves them the expense of returning something." ENDS
